Rainy day 'Shoppin

Today was a little rainy and a good day to do some painting. I started this one in the morning and have been working on it off and on all day. I'll probably dive into color tomorrow.

A silver lining

Sometimes life takes an unexpected turn, like a parting of the clouds on a stormy day. It can be beautiful and exciting, but there's also a comfort in knowing what the weather will do.

Rest of my Spring 09 Salon stuff

Been busy at work the past couple months - really busy. But I still managed to get to salon quite a few times before it ended in May.

Here are a few more 2-5 minute poses, ball point pen on 18"x24" drawing paper. I took these with my phone's camera so the quality kinda sucks.

Another salon night...

Tonight I warmed up and was having a decent drawing session, despite it being a male model (not my favorite, in case you couldn't tell from the rest of my entries). But I missed the last hour or so when I got an important phone call.

These are 5 minute poses in ball point pen.


This guy had some weird poses, and a lot of seated poses which are easy to screw up. I think my favorite one is the top-right one on the 2nd page here.
